We headed out to the far end of town to eat some delicious Korean food at Hot Stone Korean Grill a few days ago. It had been a while since any of us had been there and were looking forward to our Korean food fix.
The environment is cool and calming, maybe a bit dark. Service was quick and friendly. Their lunch menu gives a range of choices at average price points. Standard beverage options are available.
For lunch, you have choices of Bento Boxes with Korean Dishes – bulgogi or kalbi, Teriyaki, Spicy World or Duruchigi. They also have Bibimbap and Yakisoba. Their regular menu is also available at lunch. Beef, chicken, pork, shrimp and squid are your general meat choices. We had the Bibimbap, Beef Duruchigi, and Sundubu Stew (Seafood).
For me, I had the Beef Duruchigi. It was cooked at a medium spiciness, but I felt it was more on the mild side. I know now to ask for it to be taken up a notch. The Sundubu was spicy and yummy. Our other colleague liked his Bibimbap as well. It came with both a sesame sauce and gochugang (chili sauce) sauce. The sesame sauce was a surprising addition to the Bibimbap and he said it was pretty good.
Overall, Hot Stone is a go-to location for many of us for Korean food. Their food is consistently tasty and the service is always friendly.
