As my handle implies, I have eaten a LOT of burgers in my life.  Many of them have been excuses.  Some of them have been life changing.  Few have made me feel good about my choices.

Ty’s serves a good, smashed patty cooked on a flattop that is older than most people alive today.  I know they also make sandwiches that are not burgers, but I’ve never tried them.  Ty’s remains as a burger joint.  Historical, traditional, and dependable in quality and experience.

 

 

 

Ty’s serves lunch.  The fries are fresh and hot, the decor is appropriately dark and old.  There’s a counter to sit at and they serve cold beer.  The staff and owners are present and amicable.

 

 

A change of pace at Ty’s is ordering onion rings or chili fries.  Both are delicious and recommended.  The french fry portions are gigantic.  Unless there is reason for gluttony, stick with a 1/4 order (pictured below).
