The Kitchen Restaurant has never served me anything bad.
Unfortunately, they’ve also never served me anything that was out of the ordinary or delicious or amazing. I’ve only been there twice so I realize the limited sample size.
As seen in the above picture, I ordered a turkey, apple, and brie sandwich. See if you can find the brie in the picture below:
Either they forgot the brie, or brie now looks like mayo. The apples were crisp, although I would’ve preferred Honeycrisp. I also would’ve enjoyed not having to open my own bag of chips. Overall, the sandwich was ok. Not horrible, not fantastic, and on the bland side of things.
My fellow diner ordered some sort of western burger.
In her words:
Fries were good. Burger was juicy. Bbq sauce was a little in the sweet side for me. Bbq ranch for dipping was yummy
Remember it is all made in house
I want The Kitchen to succeed. The location is prime and parking is improving. The decor is well placed and the bones of this building have always been among my favorites in the city (it was awesome as Tanya’s Soup Kitchen).
The staff is friendly and the service is good. I just can’t get over the un-inspired composition of the food.
