So, since I was watching Food Network last night and someone on there started talking about Belgium Waffles, I knew we had to go to Delano’s Diner for lunch today.  Let me tell you these things are AMAZING!  They have pearl sugar in them that gives them a sugary crunch and are cooked like I remember them from a street vendor in Belgium.  No need for the syrup either … the butter alone does them justice.

In addition to the Belgium Waffles, I also had their Cowboy Breakfast.  As did my lunch buddy.  Of course this was a high calorie lunch, but so worth it.

For those of you who haven’t been to this little gem, it is located in the old Braum’s on Douglas near the DAV.  Yes, it still looks like a Braum’s just with different paint on the outside, but the inside has been somewhat redone.  The booths are comfy and the service is friendly and quick.  They have a variety of items from breakfast to lunch to dinner.

I only strayed once from their breakfast items and decided to get their cheeseburger the last time we were there.  It was good, but the breakfast at this place is where it’s at.  Go on over and try them out!
